This watercolor entitled �Holy Trinity� is my most recent painting that was started on Ash Wednesday and signed Easter Sunday morning upon completion. Holy Trinity Catholic Church sits on top of an oak studded hill in El Dorado Hills, California with beautiful 360 degree picturesque views of the rolling Sierra Nevada Foothills, snow capped Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, and Sacramento Valley.
Many people have commented on the spiritual nuances within the clouds. I can assure you that I did not intend to form the clouds to look like anything other than the cloud formations I saw in the sky on that particular day and moment.
I would like to especially thank my good friend Shane Kelly for his patience in taking the photograph for this piece. We both planned and collaborated on this project for some time and really needed to wait for the right moment. I hope that you enjoy this piece as much as I enjoyed the experience of painting it.
