I aim to capture that special moment in my works that may otherwise be missed if you blinked. My favorite part about working through a painting is getting lost in the moment. For me it is virtually an experience of becoming a part of the piece which somehow stimulates my senses. For example, when painting musicians, I can't help but hear the music, smell the venue, and feel the intense energy of the live stage. In "Napa Harvest" I felt the slight chill in the Fall Northern California air along with the fresh aromas consistent with the harvest season.
I hope you get a similar sense of what I experience when viewing my work. I look forward to adding more paintings as I experience more moments that will continue to inspire me.
